You know, sometimes it’s best to just get to the point. You know, is it good or not? No time for sites that talk you up and down and all around. Well Q, that’s what blogging is about… I guess. My issue isn’t so much the stretched out rambling, but that some blogs have the same language, the same set up. A story about their grandmother, which goes into a flashback as a child, something dramatic as an adult that gets tied around relationships or health then – BAM, the recipe! Well, no lie, I shall offer a few of those myself here and there because sometimes they’re fun, but with my time in-between, LETS MIX IT UP! (FYI these are all located in CA)
Getting To The Point #1 – Crumbs Bake Shop
Always dry, will never go back. However for some reason my best friend likes them. She’s a loser! Why are they popular? I have nothing else to say and refuse to post a photo (arms crossed).

So a friend of mine was throwing a housewarming and I couldn’t show up empty handed. <hmm> What to make? Devils Chocolate Fudge Cake!!!
I’m not a perfect baker – YET! I still have my ups and downs like the next person, but it sure is awesome to see your creations come together.
OK! We need some cake. I decided on a chocolate cake with fudge icing. I knew their would be lots of wine and cheese so I thought chocolate would go well with the menu or at least I hoped <chuckle> Once cooled, I shaved and leveled both cakes. One on the cake board with the other off to the side. I started icing the bottom half of the cake. Next I stacked the other cake on top and finished icing it as well. I placed in the fridge to slightly harden. It’s easier to work on chilled cakes FYI.
Once the cakes were ready with their crumb coat I began layering the cakes with chocolate icing from the can. Next I took the time to trim down some pirouette cookies to the height of the cake. Time to adhere the cookies to the side of the cake.
This was followed by shaving chocolate onto the top of the cake. Careful, for the heat of your hand can cause the chocolate bar to quickly melt. Once finished, I grabbed some ribbon and tied a little bow with a flower on the front of the cake. I placed it back into the fridge until it was time to go.
It was perfect, but looking back I wish I had a gold cake board <chuckle>. Everyone loved it and of course with decorative desserts, nobody wants to be the first to cut into it. I told the one guest I clearly brought it to be destroyed 🙂

OMG so I almost didn’t post anything today. Why? Not because I don’t love my blogging family, but because I’ve been in dream land with my 5 day holiday vacation and lost track of reality. Therefor, my last minuet for the holidays post shall be a cake I made for The Eagle. PS, I’ve been meaning to make this for him since forever – such a loser!
HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ME!
That’s right, its my new year. And as always I’m excited to celebrate another season while giving thanks to the one that has gracefully ended. Well, what you don’t know is that I’m an elections baby. Therefor, if you’re going to vote for someone – VOTE FOR ME! hahahahaha
Now, let’s get to the ballad.
PROPOSITION Q: Will offer americans free cake every weekend in any flavor. It is a proven fact that cake and other starch items bring people together and that’s what the world needs – to come together in happiness and love and cake does that. Proposition Q will also offer baking classes to children allowing families to bond more often.

Encourage family bonding and communication. Youth will learn a trade in Culinary and/or Hospitality. Exercise science and mathematics (baking/measurements). Acquire an appreciation and understanding of varied starch items. Practice moderation.
People may possibly be unable to focus due to being full of cake.
