The first time I experienced a vegan/gluten-free bakery was a few years ago when I took (T), a friend of mine out for her birthday. I forgot the place. Somewhere in Los Angeles, near Pico or Adams. Any-who, it was…ok, little dry, odd and different from everything “normal folk” who eat the “normal stuff” would think about “those types” of cupcakes. I was open to the idea of it, it didn’t kill me, but I also didn’t need to return .
Years later, here I am in Vegas and I was helping a friend with a bridal shower and she happened to order vegan cupcakes. I thought, “Oh, well maybe I’ll eat a quarter of it and give the other portion away”. NOPE, NOT AT ALL FOLKS! These cupcakes were SOOOOOO DELICIOUS! What flavor did I try? Carrot I told you I’m on a roll people since my Bundtly Delicious Blog. They were from Gluten Zero Bakery. We ordered chocolate, carrot cake, red velvet and lemon.
Now I must admit I wasn’t a fan of the chocolate and learned that with these specialty desserts, the moist and tasty ones are those containing additional ingredients such as fruit and vegetables. Getting back to those carrot cupcakes, I could have sat and eaten them all night, alone, in a corner and with no distractions. If and whenever is Las Vegas, take the trip to visit this place. And trust me, GET THE CARROT!

I didn’t pick up the cupcakes therefor can not comment, but friends say it’s a great place!
I LOVE BREAD!
It’s not the first or last time I’ll ever announce that. Depending on what it is, I like it hard, I like it soft, I like it with butter, I like it with garlic sauce – I just like it. CORRECTION – I LOVE IT – as previously announced. One type of bread I can’t keep my hands off are soft pretzels <sigh>. It’s so bad The Eagle knows not to even ask me if I want one from the concession stand if ever at the theater, park or event. AND to my surprise, someone has been placing a box of frozen pretzels in my cart when I’m alone at the grocery store. (shifty eyes low to the right, tilts head and walks away…)
OK FINE – IT’S ME!
I’M THE ONE WHO THINKS IT’S PRETZEL TIME – EVERY TIME!!!
It’s another day at the market. I find a good parking spot. People are focused, reviewing their list and confirming their selections. I grab a cart while placing my ear buds in. “Hmm MJ or DA playlist?” I ask myself. I enjoy singing along to a fun tune as I toss my money into the shelves of each aisle.

Flying in or out of Los Angeles? Well, the Eagle got me hip to this spot near the airport called The Coffee Company. I tried their Waffle of which was fine, but soon learned about their french toast of which I had to try. However, for some reason when we returned, I forgot to get the french toast and ordered the waffle <frustrated sigh>. Every time I walk out of this place and look over to another persons plate I say to myself, “DAGGIT, I was suppose to try the french toast this time!” And this is when (J) would say, “LOSER” and as I would say, “I SUCK”.
The Coffee Company serves breakfast, lunch and dinner just so you know. A nice spot! I absolutely love the hanging flower pots out front. Reminds me of my mother. A great spot to hit up when taking someone to or arriving from the airport and in need of some good food. As always the customer service is great, food arrives quickly and the prices are reasonable.
“OMG it’s them!”
Oh how I would love arriving to work with someone having the wonderful nerve to bring a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes <huge happy sigh>. I’ve only seemed to have tried their carrot cake and WOW it is FREAKING AMAZING!!! A little too much icing for me, but still delicious. Funny, it’s the only flavor people seem to have brought in, unless I missed something. Please do try one!
They’ve been on my ‘Need To Eat It’ list. Super cute, moist, tasty and come in four sizes, Bundtinis (mini bite-size), Bundtlets (miniature) and Bundts (regular sizes in 8 & 10″).
“Oh my gosh, who brought in another, Nothing Bundt Cake cake?” I yelled in the office.
It was around the time of my New Years (my birthday). (T) decided to take me to The Griddle Cafe, a place located in Hollywood that I’ve been to before, but not in a very, very long time. We drove separately.
“Are you there yet?” I asked over the phone.
“I’m here!” she responded with great enthusiasm.
I pulled up, lucky enough to find street parking around the corner. The line was long as usual. Some talked on the phone, while others wandered off constantly running back to check-in for their table.
“Have you called us yet?” We too were those people who wondered off.
